1. Introduction

YCloud WhatsApp & SMS "the App” provides WhatsApp & SMS "the Service" to merchants who use Shopify to power their stores. This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is collected, used, and shared when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify-supported store.

2. Personal Information the App Collects

When you install the App, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your Shopify account:

Additionally, we collect the following types of personal information from you and/or your customers once you have installed the App:
  • Information about you and others who may access the App on behalf of your store, such as your name, address, email address, phone number, and billing information;
  • Information about individuals who visit your store, such as their IP address, web browser details, time zone, and information about the cookies installed on the particular device.
We collect personal information directly from the relevant individual, through your Shopify account or using the following technologies: “Cookies” are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies, and how to disable cookies, visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org. “Log files” track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps. “Web beacons,” “tags,” and “pixels” are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the Site.

3. How Do We Use Your Personal Information

We use the personal information we collect from you and your customers in order to provide the Service and to operate the App. Additionally, we use this personal information to: Communicate with you; Optimize or improve the App; and Provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services. You have the right to choose not to share your data or to share only the data you consider necessary. You can also choose to stop using our services or delete your data at any time. If you need to delete your data, please contact our staff immediately, and we will process your request as soon as possible.

4. Sharing Your Personal Information

  • Sharing with our affiliates : Your personal information may be shared with our affiliates. We will only share necessary personal information and are bound by the purposes stated in this policy. If the affiliated company wants to change the purpose of processing personal information, it will ask for your separate consent again.
  • Our affiliates include any company or institution controlled, controlled, or under common control with YCLOUD now or in the future, as well as the legal successors of the above companies or institutions. “Control” refers to the ability to directly or indirectly influence the management of the mentioned company, whether through ownership, voting shares, contracts, or other ways recognized by the People's Court.
  • Sharing with authorized partners : We may share some of your personal information with partners to provide better customer service and user experience. Our partners are not authorized to use the shared personal information for any other purpose. Authorized partners who may share personal information include the following types:
    1. SMS provider. At present, our SMS suppliers include China's third-party suppliers, China's three major operators (China Telecom, China Mobile, and China Unicom), and international suppliers. In order to send the specified number and SMS content to the operator of the destination country, who will finally send the SMS, we must provide your phone number and SMS content to the SMS supplier. When your business needs to send global SMS, your phone number and SMS content will be cross-border transmitted, and the recipient of the information is the operator in the destination country. In order to ensure your information security, we will conduct cross-border data transmission through a dedicated interface.
    2. Meta. WhatsApp message provider. Your WhatsApp accounts and templates will shared with Meta. We must provide phone numbers to Meta so you can reach out to your phone numbers via WhatsApp
    3. Third-party SDK service providers: If you use such services provided by a third party on our products, you agree that they will directly collect and process your information. When meeting new service requirements and business function changes, we may adjust the third-party SDK we access, and timely disclose the latest situation of accessing the third-party SDK to you in this description. Please note that the data type of the third-party SDK may change due to version upgrades, policy adjustments, and other reasons. For details, please refer to the published official instructions. At present, the third-party SDK services included in our products are shown in the table below. The purpose and types of the third-party SDK's cross-border transmission of personal information are shown in the specific functions and access permissions of the SDK.

Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.
Data Retention When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records for half a year, unless and until you ask us to delete this information.
Changes We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
