WhatsApp announced that in August and October 2024, they will respectively update the pricing for Utility conversations and Marketing conversations.
- Utility Conversation Costs--From August 1, 2024, the conversation prices will be reduced to remain competitive with other channels and to encourage businesses to bring more end-to-end post-purchase customer journeys to WhatsApp.

Marketing Conversation Costs--From October 1, 2024, the prices in specific markets will be updated as part of more frequent price adjustments to reflect the demand and the value of delivering marketing messages.

August 1, 2024 Price Update
The prices for notification conversations will be significantly reduced in most countries/regions, except Indonesia, with the maximum reduction reaching 97.65%.
Combined with WhatsApp's 24-hour conversation pricing rule (no additional charges for the same type of messages within 24 hours), this will make WhatsApp the most cost-effective medium for notifications and alerts.
